Two electronic music titans take their legendary co-headlining tour to Atlanta

Electronic legends KAYTRANADA and Justice brought their North American co-headlining tour to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena last Wednesday. The two acts turned the iconic sports arena into a massive dance party from heaven, much to the delight of our city’s fanbases.

The evening started with a solid DJ set from Sam Gellaitry. Based out of Scotland, Gellaitry shared his collaborations with artists like PinkPantheress and Toro y Moi as well as songs from his solo catalogue such as the viral “Assumptions.” The set, while brief, definitely set the mood for the event and let Atlanta begin to dance the night away.

Shortly after, KAYTRANADA kept the crowd moving with his funky, relaxed performance. With a glass of wine in his hand and a set of classics from his discography, KAYTRA engaged the audience at a new level. Playing hits from his acclaimed 2024 album TIMELESS, 2019’s Grammy-award winning BUBBA, and this summer’s AIN’T NO DAMN WAY!, both longtime and casual fans of the Montreal superstar found themselves lost in the trance of his DJ set.
For KAYTRA, presentation is everything. Laser lights surrounded his stage placed in the center of the arena which would elevate during certain moments of the night. Even when the lighting and stage effects were more traditional, KAYTRANADA continued to groove and make sure that everyone in attendance was having as much fun as he was. That kind of energy is 100% required when listening to his music, so seeing the crowd in near-constant movement was electrifying.

With a quick-turnaround between the co-headlining sets, Justice’s iconic cross symbol lit up State Farm’s main stage. What followed was 90 minutes of pure, unadulterated electronic bangers. Pulling from their entire batch of hits across a 20+ year career, fans have called this tour the duo’s Alive 2007 (a reference to fellow French duo Daft Punk’s legendary live album). With the incredible stage effects and never-ending mind-blowing moments, it’s not hard to see the comparison.

Whether it’s the infectious mix of 2007’s “D.A.N.C.E.” and their collab with Tame Impala, “One Night/All Night,” or the intense DJ set staple “Stress,” Justice maximizes every moment of their time. Taking advantage of the space, the lighting and visuals were second-to-none. Even if the artists practically stayed in the same spot for the night, the atmosphere was a performance in-and-of itself.

While the tour was billed with both artists in the headlining spot, a handful of those left after KAYTRANADA’s set. To any Atlanta attendees who decided to end the night early, just know that you missed an absolute face-melting, once-in-a-lifetime performance celebrating the legacy of electronic music.
What some also may not know is that this stop of the tour marked Justice’s 100th show. Atlanta is absolutely honored to have hosted these legends for this momentous occasion.

The tour may have closed today, but KAYTRANADA and Justice gave dance fans a tour to be talked about for years. With the top-tier lighting and song curation, it’s guaranteed that Atlanta is eager and ready for these artists to return.
