"Everyone's a Star" at the band's fantastic Atlanta tour stop

5 Seconds of Summer performed at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on the night of June 16 with an incredible concert experience for fans from all walks of life. With support from The Band CAMINO, the evening was a fun-filled night of energy, nostalgia and everything else that makes live music so great.
Fans were seen at the venue wearing different kinds of merchandise belonging to various stages of the band's career long before the show even started. There were fans taking pictures, sharing friendship bracelets (or pins with photos of the band!), discussing their past experiences at other concerts and more as the fans waited for the concert to begin.

The night started off with the performance by The Band CAMINO, whose stage performance impressed everyone and put the perfect start to the evening. The setlist of the band managed to get the crowd going, which only served to fuel the energy in the arena further. Despite the majority of the concertgoers being present just to see the headlining act, The Band CAMINO managed to impress everyone with their amazing performances.
Once the lights went down for 5 Seconds of Summer, the place exploded into cheers. Screams filled State Farm Arena as the band stepped onto stage and kicked off what would be an unforgettable show. During the show, it became evident that 5 Seconds of Summer is indeed a tight-knit group of guys who know how to put on a good performance. Each one of them added their piece to the show, making it not only enjoyable but believable at the same time. No matter whether it was one of the old hits or the new songs, each song was performed with great enthusiasm.

What is perhaps the best thing about this concert is the way in which the guys interacted with their audience. Fans sang along to practically all lyrics, turning into almost as big a part of the performance as the musicians themselves. It was not hard to see the smiling faces, tears, and phones that were being raised up in order to capture the memories of the evening. When the band started the show, they started in the back of a limousine! They then emerged playing their lead single of the latest album, “NOT OK.”

While photographing the first three songs, I was fortunate enough to receive permission to stay for the remainder of the show. Experiencing the concert from the crowd offered a completely different perspective and allowed me to fully appreciate what made the night special.
During the fan-voted section of the setlist the band chose a fan to open a briefcase to show what song they would play, Michel started counting down…”3…2…1! TEENAGE DIRTBAG!” It was the loudest part of the night!
The production elevated every moment without ever overshadowing the music. Dynamic lighting, massive visuals, and perfectly timed effects enhanced each song while keeping the focus where it belonged: on the band and their performance. The energy inside State Farm Arena remained high from start to finish as fans sang along to every word, EVERY word!!
One of the most memorable aspects of the evening was the setlist itself. In addition to performing many of the songs that have defined their career, each member of 5 Seconds of Summer took time to showcase a song from their individual solo projects. It was a unique addition that highlighted the growth of each musician while still reinforcing the chemistry that makes the band so successful as a group. Seeing those songs performed in front of a packed arena gave fans a chance to celebrate not only 5 Seconds of Summer as a band, but also the creative journeys of Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford as individual artists.

From the production and musicianship to the carefully crafted setlist, 5 Seconds of Summer delivered a show that celebrated both their history and their evolution. The Atlanta stop proved why the band continues to connect with audiences around the world, creating an experience that felt just as much like a celebration as it did a concert. They truly are “THE BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD.”
