The beloved jam band take ATL on a journey through fan favorites, covers, and teasers

It felt fitting for Eggy to return to Terminal West on Friday the 13th, a year and a half after their ambitious Halloween 2024 show. That performance featured the band playing games on stage, dressed as characters from Candy Land and Clue, to promote their album Waiting Game. Their return in 2026 showed that even without the costumes and theatrics, they remain masters of tailoring a distinct experience for every stop on their tour.

Eggy comprises four remarkably talented musicians, who each took lead vocals for at least one song throughout the night, laying the groundwork for their bandmates' rich harmonies. The band's collective proficiency transcends individual talent with improvised jams, guiding the audience through nearly three hours of music across two sets.

When you attend an Eggy show, you are signing up for a curated tasting menu of songs from a group of master setlist chefs, preparing a unique 3-course selection each night that includes originals, covers, and teases. You could feel the excitement spread through the crowd as they started covering The Band's "The Shape I'm In" or Big Thief's "Time Escaping," a song that they have reimagined into one of their signature jam vehicles. They whipped up some Brazilian cuisine with a more obscure cover of Airto Moreira's 1979 song "Partido Alto." The encore served as dessert with an extra sweet version of Traffic's "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys." They also offered a sampling of newer originals from The Ballad of Blucifer, a concept debuted in 2025 that chronicles the musical origin story of the horse statue at the Denver International Airport. This doesn't even begin to capture all the unique teases tossed into each song. Listeners might pick out notes of The Beatles or Pink Floyd in the middle of a jam, prompting them to ask their neighbors if they also heard the same thing.

Eggy can jam with the best of them, but their vast catalog of songs, covers, and teasers is what sets them apart. This isn't the kind of band you go to see hoping to hear your favorite song. When you see Eggy, you put them in control and let them take you on a journey specifically crafted for that room and that night alone.
